Created by Innovando la Tradición and Agua Sobre la Cima collective, this workshop was based in a research about Atzompa’s pottery tradition, which goes back approximately 2000 years.
The workshop guided by Innovando la Tradición, Pekka Harni and Yuka Takahashi, gathered a group of artisans and designers with the aim of creating new shapes reinterpreting traditional objects from the region. The results of the exercise, in the team I worked with, were a set of containers designed for a fictional character: a young man who lived alone by the sea, who needed these containers to store seeds and water.
Design and production team: Lorena Lávida, Lorena Velasco, Amando Pedro Martinez, Victor Ruiz Regino, Laila Salomón.
